In Flames singer Anders Friden has a super cool voice, although it is 100% metalcore. So if you're looking for heavier music, you're not going to find it here. With that being said, I think this is a very quality metalcore album and doesn't rely heavily on clean vocals too much. In a sense the music itself is almost doom-esque because it has the fuzzy background noise that many doom albums have but this is in NO way a doom album. For metalcore, the clean vocals are still very aggressive and are not effeminate.
