Every day I find myself feeling for those of us in the musical community that are a part of the metal scene, particularly the djent and progressive scenes, because of how crowded it’s getting. We’re all familiar with the bigger names in djent metal (particularly bands that founded or pulled the genre into popularity, like Periphery and anything Misha Mansoor has had a part in or even sorta breathed on), but it feels like there’s a new band on the scene ready to take things in a new direction.
