The new Converge album, "The Dusk In Us", is a rollercoaster ride of diversity, and intensity. With elements of the 80's skater hardcore scene, the early 2000's metalcore scene, and modern grindcore, "The Dusk In Us" has enough diversity to keep anyone’s interest. Let's face it, most of these genres grow old quick when played alone, so I think it was a great move to lump all of the styles together. Converge even throws a ballad in the middle of the album, slowing things down and showing the bands sinister introspective side.
